Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What ages do you accept at Little Tykes Home Preschool?
A: Little Tykes accepts children ages 2 to 5 years old.
Q: Do you take children full-time M-F?
A: No. We only offer part-time preschool on Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 4pm as a full day.
Q: Does my child need to be potty trained before I can enroll them with you?
A: No, they don’t have to be. We can take them with diapers.
Q: Can I send them to school if they are sick?
A: If a child has a fever, rash, diarrhea, eye infection, sore throat, or they are vomiting, they need to stay home.
Q: What is your discipline policy?
A: We follow the Positive Discipline method. Please refer to the Positive Discipline tab for an in depth description. This method is supportive, friendly, and best of all effective!
Q: By what time should I send them to school in the morning?
A: I ask parents to drop off their children no later than 9:15 am, because we start our circle time soon after. It is good for them to be here on time so they get used to the routine at preschool. Pick-up time is in the afternoon between 3:45-4pm for children.
Q: Do you have CPR certification?
A: Yes. My assistants and I all have Infant CPR and First Aid certification. We also have a fingerprint background clearance.
Q: What are the ratios at Little Tykes Home Daycare & Preschool?
A: The ratio is at most 1:6. That means one adult to every six children. Or as low as 1:4.
Q: What do I send with my child on their first day school?
A: Extra clothes, blanket, sun hat, beanie, family picture and a pack of diapers and wipes.
"I had spoken with directors and visited various day care centers by the time I went to visit Little Tykes. Upon meeting with Anais I immediately knew that it was the right place for my son."
